one week

one week until i leave the beautiful country of cyprus. bittersweet moment, as you might've heard me say. on the one hand, i will miss the place & the vibe, and i feel i did not spend enough time here, but also i really really miss having a car & the ability to BE LOUD. eating me up inside, it feels like. i have been able to express my quiet emotions fine, but man do the loud ones need to speak soon. or yell, rather. excited to be able to just drive around, whether it be in silence with just the noise of the motor & the tires on the road, or with music blasting and my voice becoming raspy by the end of it. i will miss being able to speak greek so often. it's the little things in life, such as speaking my first language and being called "jason" as opposed to "iason(a(s))" on the daily that makes me happy. i hope my books i sent off and the relationships i have created & re-built while here will be able to keep me at least content. and the myriad of greek music i have been able to acquire. here's hoping.
