tldr ; ai steals art from artists who work incredibly hard to make it

to anyone who doesn't know what ai art is, ai art is pretty much a program which you can use to make art by typing in keywords. in minutes you can get something that would've taken painstakingly long to create !! that sounds like it would be fun right ? now you can make art fast and come up with something you really like, right ? right ?????????
if it's something that's sounds so easy and fun, why is it getting so much hate ?
well, ai art wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for the artists making the art it literally survives off of.
ai works by sifting through thousands of images online and storing them in databases where they can be used by typing in the correct key words.
in the beginning it was pretty stupid looking and i admit i used it a little bit for fun but even then the idea made me a little uncomfortable because . in the end none of the art that was produced by the ai was made by a person. what will happen to artists who draw for a living when people start to use ai instead ? what happens to the art itself when it's created spontaneously ? will it have any meaning at all when it's created by soulless programs ? there will be no stories behind art , nothing to learn from in a world where art is made by ai .

i definitely think ai art should be regulated. for now, its still imperfect and we can tell an AI did it, but soon enough, their creations will look like real drawings, and that's where danger comes in. it should become a legal matter and ai art shouldn't be used for commercial reasons or for selling/merchandising.
i agree !! they should've done what they did for music ai which is to use royalty free things !!!! instead of literally sourcing through hundreds of art that artists didn't even consent to being used. i think i saw while doing research that you legally can't own stuff made by an ai but i will have to look into that later !!
i bet you though there's probably artists who would've said yes to allowing their art to be used like why didn't you ASK FIRST OR USE COPYRIGHT FREE ART
