My Birthday

It was my birthday today! I turned 18. I felt a bit queasy and unsure before but I feel no different and nothing's changed so I that is okay. I woke up at around 10 AM which was good because I had a stressful week with school work I still have to do. 

At 1:30 I left with my dad and my best friend Ollie to go to the Harvard Museum of Natural History, which I really wanted to go to for my birthday. Ollie almost couldn't make it because they had a lot of work to do but they did it the night before so they could come and that make me really happy and grateful to have them. The museum was pretty big with a lot of sections to go to, and the first one we went to was the mineral hall. It had a ton of glass displays with hundreds of minerals in them to look at, and some of them were really big. Ollie said this was their favorite part, and I really liked it too, especially the giant crystals and meteorite rocks. The next section we went to was filled with a lot of taxidermy animals and they were really cool looking! We had fun looking at all of the animals and birds. There were a lot of them, and sea creatures too, so we spent a lot of time here. The last section was an anthropology section, which is my favorite. It was getting late and Ollie didn't seem interested so this is when we decided to go. We took the train back home and it was dark when we got back. We didn't talk on the way there or on the way back, which I think is okay because they were listening to music. I said goodbye to Ollie and I was really happy we got to spend time together and they looked happy too.

When I got home I played some Splatoon and watched Markiplier playing FNAF Security Breach. We ordered dinner and I got pasta with meatballs. My mom wasn't there for my birthday, which is typical, but it's okay because I hate her. My dad got me a slice of cake for my birthday which made me really happy and smile because I got to blow out a candle and it just made me feel like I was a little kid again- all I've ever wanted to feel. I watched an animal planet show with my dad and then I went back to my room. I didn't get any presents, but that's okay since I didn't really ask for anything either. 

THis really reminded me of what kind of things I can do for Ollie's birthday? I don't know but I want to make sure their birthday is as fun as mine and I want it to be memoriable so maybe I will buy them a card.
