Okay, so, school holidays are all well and cool right... issue is, it's only Christian holidays. ONLY.
Allow me to elaborate, in most schools, (in the U.K at least) you get WEEKS off for Christmas, Easter, all that. But on EID, there's a problem.
Eid is an islamic celebration that takes place twice after Ramadan*. Do we get days off for it? Well, we get a day off. But we have to call the school, tell them everything about the holiday and why it's at different times yearly, it's really odd
So due to Christianity being the more populated religion, they get weeks off, we get a day off which is mostly spent TRYING TO GET THE DAY OFF.
Also let's talk about Ramadan. Muslims DO NOT eat during that period and yet we still need to do P.E. Are you TRYING to make me eat? Dude?! Its especially annoying when you have to do P.E. OUTSIDE. IN THIS MANCUNIAN COLD.
If Ramadan or Eid were Christian periods of time then they would DEFINITELY get more privelige. I don't wanna hear anyone arguing with ME, argue with the wall.
