in the mirror

I believed, but was clouded with doubt…

blown and tossed by the wind in the sea.

I demanded answers from others,

but they couldn’t see me.

Finally, worn down to my foundation, it all became clear.

I looked in the mirror

and said, “no more dread and no more doubt.

You have strong roots on solid ground.

Only God provides what I need.”

I need not return to that mirror.
