Stand up, let my voice speak.
Brothers and sisters dying in my streets.
White privilege keeps my blood hot.
Why am I alive, but my friend's not?
Where do we go from here?
I used to think the message was so clear.
But now the government has us mixed up.
And my pride in the movement lost me friends, but I don't give a fuck.
I've stood quiet for too long.
Allowed this shit to happen knowing it's dead wrong.
I'm ashamed that I never showed up.
It's unjustified that I never spoke up.
I have a voice that could change the world.
Instead of action, I hid like a little girl.
Not saying that there isn't major power in our youth.
I'm just saying that I should have known what to do.
But people can change for the better.
I can see the sun through the stormy weather.
I may have been lack luster in the past.
But, I found my voice again and wanna help make a change that'll last.
So please forgive me and help me learn.
Please allow me to ride with you as the world burns.
I'm not seeking recognition. Keep a blank face.
I just want you to have the same life as the white race.
When the protests and riots continue in the streets,
Will you finally see what this all means?
We have to find justice and serve it on a silver platter.
Stand up for our fellow humans. Black lives matter.
