Destroy all humans final boss thoughts

Destroy All Humans is a novel and fun game about an alien invading 1950s america. The final boss is the only problem with the game. The game does have an upgrade system sure so maybe that would make the fight easier however i think introducing a boss fight that feels like it would work better in a 90s shooter than a sandbox-like game where the point is to run around and blow up stuff and expect the player to figure that shit out is alittle strange to me. I should mention i'm playing the remake on ps4 so idk if the remake has problems compared to the og but this fight just feels really out of place for the game and is probably my only big gripe in the whole game outside that nuke escort mission.
