i go to an american public school-- you'll never guess what happened😝

Oh, yeah baby, it finally happened. It took until my senior year, but I finally experienced the (almost) true american experience of getting a fake active shooting called in about my school and having to do a lockdown for an hour and a half while the school was swarmed with cops and searched. No one knows who made the fake call, but my best friend knows someone who posted a joke about being a shooter that got expelled because they brought a knife to school. Like, school shooter jokes are stupid, but school shooter jokes during a lockdown while you have a knife are just astronomical levels of insanity. I hate it here, thank god I'm about to graduate.

On the plus side, at votech we had a guest speaker who talked about his job as a hiring manager for a trade union and he said that there's a plumbing apprenticeship with job opportunities in ireland, australia, and canada. So it looks like I'm moving to australia for a job (and some of thor's mjolnir, but mostly a job)
