The dastardly world we live in

It seems that advertising is an inescapable monster. No matter where I go I am bombarded with the demand to BUY BUY BUY. It's inescapable. Adblock addons cannot tear down a billboard. Pirating a film will not edit out the product placement in it. Every youtube video comes with an adspot for some scam subscription service. The subtly and not-so-subtly sponsored social media posts and product reviews. Corporate websites covered in blatant lies and claims sourced to research articles locked behind paywalls. The rapid co-opting of anything not for the corporations, all to lie and steal and kill and most importantly, SELL MORE SHIT. Branding and deceit everywhere, truth nowhere. Every time I am confronted with it I can feel a little percentage going up in my brain like in Mob Psycho. I wonder if I'll ever finally explode.
