Not Enough Turkey

Being a Buddhist living in Texas, it's hard to switch off of meat, especially at the holidays.  Spiral cut ham and full cooked turkeys are obvious, but even the stuffings this year weren't safe from giblets and bits of turkey meat in them.  Not that they weren't delicious of course.

One of the things I used to look forward to after Thanksgiving and Christmas, though, was the day or two of leftover turkey.  Sadly, it seems like those days are going to be at an end unless I start cooking a turkey on my own.  Not sure if my grandfather or mother (I forget who made the turkey as a kid) always made enough for the leftovers or if there just weren't as many people at the get togethers as the ones I'm going to these days but I do miss making those turkey-and-green-bean-and-stuffing-and-cranberry-sauce-all-in-a-roll sandwiches.

I relented, though, on my annual ban of Christmas music around the house (and in the cars) until December 1st this year by playing a few songs on the car ride that night, though, and Vince Giuraldi's "O Tannenbaum" on Friday as we set up the tree.  Speaking of, anyone know how to get a 2yo to stop trying to pull ornaments off a tree?  Outdoor lights are complete as well, save for two small sections that'll need to be checked one of these nights to see why they're not lighting up.

I guess that's enough chasing my roomba of thought around for a bit though.  Y'all take it easy.
