the passing of time

In thirty-four days, it will have been three years since 2020. It’s going to be three years since the COVID-19 pandemic first began. Kids born in 2010 will be turning thirteen. People born in 2000 will be turning twenty-three. I will be turning seventeen in ninety-five days, and after the summer, I will be coming back to school to finish my last year of high school. In May of 2024, five-hundred and forty-one days from now, I will be graduating high school and be getting my high school diploma. It feels like yesterday when we were called off from school on March 13th, 2020, but that was nine hundred and ninetydays ago, soon to be a thousand. It feels like yesterday when I first entered middle school, but that was almost six years ago.

It really puts a perspective on things, doesn’t it?
