I kn ow that thirteen isnt supposed to be idolized but i really dont care. Ever since i was little thirteen was what i aspired to be. And lets just say.. Mission accomplished. Lets just be so totally honest, THIRTEEN IS BASED OFF OF REAL TEENAGE GIRLS AND EXPERIENCES. why cant it be romantisized in the least? Ion know maybe its jus me?

i think that certain things in the movie shouldn't be romanticized but the drugs and drinking and clothes and shoplifting etc stuff can be since.. all that is things that most teenagers do. i know self harm and anorexia is something lots of teens do/have but i don't think that the scene with tracy on the floor in her moms arms should be romanticized, neither with her little eating disorder. but i agree a lot of the stuff during mainly the beginning are cool :3
fr that's mostly what i mean, even though the dark parts are very real and very relatable.
