Does anyone lucid dream?

Lucid dreams are apparently supposed to be so life like to the point you question if it's real or a dream. But that never happens for me, my dreams are often foggy and washed out looking. Even last night my dream might of been in grayscale. I wonder if I am doing something wrong or if I'm actually not lucid dreaming. It's not life like yet I am aware I am dreaming and I move around freely so I'm confused.

Had a very unhinged dream where i was on a resort island, decided to wait for the next megalift to get to my room, only to see the lift with my friends in it go up, then suddenly fail and crash to the ground floor causing a huge fireball, then i becomes a hazy nightmare of me escaping with burns and regretting not saving my friends and my stuff in the burning hotel

I had lucid and sleep paralysis experiences in the past. They usually occur during times when I'm stressed or when my hormones are out of wack! I have had dreams of staring at myself in the mirror, or feeling the winter wind on my cheeks. I've dreamt of walking, and walking up a tree horizontally. I've dreamt of being places I've seen in real life (that always makes me uneasy, cause I feel like I've been there when I haven't).

The notion that lucid dreams are so realistic they're basically Crisis 3 is wrong as fuck
I had like 3 lucid dreams in my life that I rememver and like 2 more that I don't really remember and I wouldn't say they were any more realistic than any other one. You just remember more of them, which is why I think people consider them more realistic.

also grayscale dreams huh
I had exactly ONE and it traded the color (which wasn't needed so much, it was dark anyway) for the rest of the senses. Geniuinely te only time I remember tasting stuf in a dream. THAT was the most realistic a dream ever was for me.

I can't believe it the internet lied to me. But I dunno why but a lot of my dreams lack color often. Though I swear sometimes I can feel textures or pain in dreams.

That to me sounds like a lucid dream even though it's not convincing. Sometimes I have ones where I realize I'm in a dream, but after that realization, it starts to collapse and I have to actively mentally try to stay inside the dream or else I just wake up. The only ones where I can't tell dream from reality involve a reoccurring thing where my teeth fall out and they're all sorts of weird shapes with sharp edges that don't make any sense as teeth. I'm utterly convinced it's real life every time.

Huh, same actually. Once I realize I'm dreaming I get excited and wake up, but I had a lot of regular dreams that felt much more real.
