TRIGGER WARMING: Mentions of Rape, Sa, Justice corruption, COURT CASE.

So for a while I’ve been trying to study this new case. It happens in my home state and it even went to the states “supreme court”. I recently found this case from my sister. (Someone who work’s in this field.) This case was primarily about whether or not we should grant the murderer food stamps and a medicaid card. However, we didn’t know if this person was incarcerated, on probation, in jail, or let loose. We read into his case and it turns out he went to jail for 25 years to life. Reaching a high level court case. Usually for having a sentence THAT big. You had to have done some fucked up shit. WITHOUT. a chance of probation. At this point; sister and I are confused to why he sent a request for medicaid and food stamps. If he was in jail??? We read further and found out he raped, sodomized, and murdered a 10 year old family member. THIS WAS A BIG UPDATE. Because why would this person be allowed to ask for medicaid and food stamps???? So we dug further. Apparently this person made a appeal while serving time. Asking for a review of a certain “missing” aspect to the case. Apparently this missing aspect to the case was he wasn’t read his miranda rights??  Apparently during the case, the officers who handled him DID read his miranda rights. BUT. THIS GUY ISNT FLUENT???? So he made this big old fit about his miranda rights. Then the police came in and said “we gave you your miranda rights WRITTEN in spanish.” THEN THE GUY PULLS EVEN A BIGGER THING OUT OF HIS ASS. HES ILLITERATE! Apparently this was proven by his lawyers with a TON of evidence stating he only has a education of a first grader and never learned to read or write. No one questions it anymore he is illiterate. NO ONE EVEN QUESTIONS WHYHER OR NOT HE COMMITED THE CRIME. Now this is where i saw it as interesting. Family members said he was fluent in english. That at times HE would instead translate for THEM. SO AFTER ALL OF THIS. HE WON. HE APPARENTLY WON HIS CASE. However me and my sister still do not know if he’s incarcerated or in jail. We asked some higher ups and because of the level of case this is. NONE OF US KNOW! So we have yet to give him anything!
