he can't swim because his creator thought hedgehogs couldn't swim 

his shoes are based off of micheal Jackson and Santa Claus, his creator took alot of inspiration from America he even asked people in central park if they liked sonic XD

he was born on Christmas Island 

tails is sonics bestfriend and although he wants to be like him he wants to be his own person, which is incredibly awesome, however (the game which shall not be named) RUINED his character I mean RUINED it, all those years or character building flushed down the drain!! ( this isn't a fun fact but this topic makes me angry >x[ )
