Playing Persona 5 Royal + Feelings on P4G's upcoming console rerelease

Persona is a series very dear to my heart as it got me through some of the toughest moments of my life. Even though I could never play it due to financial limitations, I enjoyed watching others play it. I'm happy seeing the mainline games make it to multiple platforms for others to experience how amazing it is. It feels amazing finally getting to play an entry myself after all these years.

So far, it's great. I actually played Shin Megami Tensei V - my first SMT game - a while ago, so it's interesting seeing the gameplay differences between the two. While related, they definitely focus on different aspects. One change is the difference between SMT's demon mechanics VS Persona's shadow mechanics. I got so used to each demon having distinct voice lines, it felt off hearing the shadows in Persona sharing the same couple of voices. Also, the fusions are based off of Arcanas rather than demon races.

The focus on connections and managing your limited time is also interesting. I was aware of the many social links, but never realized how much it mattered choosing the right dialogue options. I only realized halfway through the game with a few s. links only at rank 2-3 lol. I'll keep that in mind for NG+.

Art and music is amazing as expected. I'm already acquainted with the soundtrack, plots, characters, and even sound effects, but the game still wowed me in presentation and gameplay. Playing a game VS watching someone play a game can create very different experiences.

I plan on finishing my first play-through by early December and am thinking of starting a NG+ before the next two rereleases. I want to be done before they release since I'm a lot more excited for Persona 4 Golden's rerelease. It has a more homely feeling than the rest of the series. It's also the only one that's made me cry.

That's all I feel like writing. Persona gud. Go play it on whatever it's on right now. I like the music.
