did a stick and poke which i'm now deathly afraid of not treating properly

i was gonna start this with context but there is none, i woke up one day and decided to give myself one so i bought the kit and waited for it come in.

came in yesterday but i decided against using it the same day so i could buy some materials i was missing. didn't wait and i did it anyway. tattooed a wave on my knuckle and xy on the side of my pointer finger. they came out alright, they definitely could've come out much worse. 

i washed my hands after i was done, used some ointment on it, and wrapped it with bandage for a few hours until i woke up. took that bandage off when i woke up, washed my hands again, and used more ointment.

i'm pretty sure i'm doing everything right, i did my research and shit before i did it and while i was doing it but i'm kinda afraid that i'm gonna do something wrong or i'm gonna miss a step and fuck up, so what i'm saying is that if i catch and infection and die i went out like a warrior and exactly how i wanted to, on my own terms.
