idk..i just have been seeing a lot of people with mental problems who think they are fictional characters recently, and sometimes even real people... twitter and tiktok especially, and pony town too, sometimes. :T
i think its not healthy to go around saying you are so and so because you might start to actually believe it :(. im not a doctor, but i think itd be better to tell those people that they arent those characters or those people, because they arent. they should get therapy or something instead of encouraging that behaviour and treating it as a good thing... :V if you rlly wanna be a character, u can just roleplay them or something..
and, again im not a doctor, but wouldnt someone who is having delusions not acknowledge them as delusions..?? because i see a lot of those people who think theyre characters saying theyre delusional and they cant help it but.. youre realising that what youre thinking isnt normal?... :/
and, i think its worse when they claim to be real people. because..those are real humans! you know? i dont know, but something about pretending to be someone else, and not as a parody account, is just weird to me. i see that with dsmp fans a lot.
but a lot of these people on tiktok or on twitter or on tumblr seem to just be like. completely against recovery??? :T they say that, if someones telling you youre not the character, theyre reality checking, and they always phrase it like its a bad thing, which i dont get. i think if you really are these peoples friends and you want to help them you should just tell them to get treatment for that... (and, srry, but a lot of the times i think people are just faking these for attention :T.. not all the time, sometimes people are actually suffering, but i just get the feeling that its a bit weird ive only heard of these things recently, and its always the same characters from the same shows and stuff)
now if i said anything here that jus.t..isnt correct lol...then im sorry, but i just, from what i think, dont get it at all and i apologise. i just think its a litle weird. but if anyone who actually does legitimately suffer from this stuff or something similar (i think in real medical terms its like delusions of grandeur or something? i forgot the word) can tell me about it, pleasse do i wanna know if im being an asshole or not LMAO..

I'm against encouraging mental symptoms in general as for me personally it resulted in me going through the worse years of my life. Not that I had delusions but I can see it being harmful as it's not helping them recover at all. Also is it just me or is it weird how no one speaks up to say it's offensive when people are faking it or exaggerating symptoms and delusions?
