✧ Daily Log — #4

welcome aboard your scheduled flight to county 985, i'm ace and i will be your captain this evening.

today is going well! i'm feeling pretty alright, i have some stuff i still probably should be doing but there's still hours to this day. i made another edit this morning, a christmas-y one, and i feel pretty good about it. i think if i am going to make edits on the weekend, i should do it before lunch rather than after. i get so drained in the afternoons to the point where i just flop around like a zombie, so doing it in the morning has really made me feel better.

speaking of christmas, i think i'm getting more into the mood. i recognise that it's only november 13, but other than the end of the school term it's a big event i am looking forward to. my parents have decided to take a family trip the week before, as you can expect everywhere we would like to go is certainly far more expensive during that time. we'll be coming back the day before christmas eve if i recall correctly, but we've chosen a nice beach area to stay!

as much as i think i will dislike the hot weather, as i tend to do, i am still somewhat excited. i know it's a bit strange, an australian kid hating summer and swimming, but i really do. that's part of the reason why i'm always bummed around christmas. i see so much online and in media themed with a 'white christmas' full of snow, and warm food, all the like. i've never experienced something like that, and i desperately want to. but i have to settle with what i've got, which is unfortunately days that range in the 30s and 40s degrees celcius (that's roughly 86 and 104 fahrenheit for you americans).

but this year feels a little different. last year i spent christmas day with my cousins, and it wasn't exactly the most riveting time. most years i'm just waiting for the presents, anticipating whatever might surprise me. and yet for some reason, i'm not thinking about that as much.

i'm thinking more about people, if i can word this correctly. i'm thinking about the party i will have with my friends, the videos and streams i'll be able to see online with the communities i'm in. i don't know if jerma is going to do something for christmas but if he does i'll be so happy. 

so yeah, doing much better today. might paint my nails and watch seán's god of war series. i've been meaning to do that for a while but now i'm just way behind in the series.
