Stop being loyal to Companies!

Just wanna put out there,

I'm a Software Engineer working for almost 4 years now, In this span of 4 years, I changed 2 companies, with each of the company and teams in it, I saw different styles of management, way they treat their employees, the company politics, deadlines, harsh situations, etc. etc. We all need to realise that you are in the company to do some good for the company, and the company pays you for that accordingly. but you shouldn't get too attached to the company or your managers, and what I mean by that is, nothing is permanent, situations may change at any moment. Without even realising you may get laid off even your performance reviews are good. I have this friend said to me the other day - "No matter what happens, my manager will take care of it". but - think for a second, your manager also have other boss, and that boss have another boss on top of him. So, we're not completely secured in any company.

Look at what's been happening to Twitter, Meta & other huge tech industries, they've been let go in days, without any proper prior consent, and now some of the immigrants are facing to get another job, and if they don't find one soon, they'll have to depart the country. And some people worked for 10-15 years. So, it doesn't matter how much time and effort you put into a company, at the end of the day, you are just an engineer or designer or product manager that are making the company rich. and company doesn't give a shit. if not you, they'll find another one, and the show goes on.. at the end of the day, all you have to do is to gain whatever the experience you can in those few years of working in that company and maybe utilise those skills in better way in the future.
