the love hypothesis- a rant (SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!)

bought this book because of some recommendations on the internet, saying it is a great romance. while i cannot deny that yet, the beginning doesnt seem too promising.

after the prologue, the main character, olive is making out with her "love interest" and the biggest dickhead teacher at the masters thing, adam carlsen. after that, everything goes downhill. 

for the past few weeks, i wanted to keep reading, but i just could not. i love me a good romance story, especially a slow burn but... so far, this book seems like just some weird fanfiction written by a shy little 14 year old girl about her crush. i also dont really like the usage of modern terms (this seems so nitpicky sorry). this doesnt apply to just this book though, its just a thing that rubs me the wrong way.

should i keep reading it in hopes of something?
