Life on mars ??

Do you guys ever wonder what will be on mars when we get there ?? like surely there has to be no life on it but what if there is, will the government kill it or capture it for tests or will we have to life alongside aliens?

No matter what happens, I think it would be cool having an alien as a pet but that may sound strange to the aliens so idk what do you guys think ??
