late night thinking

took too many hits off the silly dab pen and now i’m just pondering. i kind of really love the format of just posting blog posts as social media, especially with how small the user base on here is i feel like i can just scream into the void. 

i’ve been thinking about how detrimental social media is for the mental health of like everyone but how also i think if social media where to just disappear off the face of the earth, the world would go to shit. it’s one of those things that now we live with social media so integral to our daily lives and culture that it’s impossible to remove from our lives. i’m interested to see how internet culture further develops.

if i could have any job, i’d be like an internet historian. i have been observing internet culture since i became a big internet user (2009? 2010?) and there’s been such a strong and insane shift. one of my favorite phenomenons is the british youtuber take over. there’s been like a mini british youtube moment with some minecraft youtubers but truly british culture peaked with teenagers on tumblr in 2014. why was i like 11 wanting to move to london so bad??
