Long time no talk! Busy as always with college, I graduate soon! Let's cut to the chase:
Twitter is going down in flames in the most chaotic and shit-hitting-the-fan way possible. My main fandom and demographic was and has been on Twitter since 2012, so the fact I will potentially lose contact with longtime mutuals, friends, and artists/content creators is saddening. Of course, this will mean many people are now (or are starting to prepare to) jump ship. I don't see as many people vouching for SpaceHey like I do for places like Deviantart (I don't care what other artists are saying, that place is a fetishy buggy cesspool now and has been for a while, I'm not joining back).
Even though I plan on sticking around on Twitter till the end, I'm starting to migrate back to places I used to frequent like Tumblr, but also newer ones I've been apprehensive about, like TikTok and Instagram (despite IGs horrible algorithm and TikToks...well...tiktoks). A place I'll be more active on will be SpaceHey. I see it as more of a blogging site than anything, not so much forums, timelines, and live chats like I prefer, but I think SpaceHey is a great spot for those who miss older internet days of blogging, which is what I'll mostly use it for. I hope SpaceHey gets more members with this awful algorithm update. This could be the opening for smaller/revival social media sites have been waiting for.
Fuck you Elon,

I agree! There’s a ton of advertisers jumping ship and it looks to be the beginning of the end for Twitter. I deactivated my personal account a year or two ago and now only have my ex-YouTube channel affiliated account, which is useful keeping up with my online friends and video game news.
I got Spacehey this week because of all the advertisements I was getting on Facebook (19 ads in-between posts of my friends or pages I follow). I wish more of my irl friends would move over here. I’ve been really liking it so far.
