Concert Photos 2022

I’ve gone to quite a few concerts this year and for my first post I’d like to share some of these photos and see if I can find people with similar interests!

This first batch of pictures are from the Coheed and Cambria A Window Of The Waking Mind Tour. I was originally going to this show because one of my favorite bands at the time, Dance Gavin Dance, was supposed to be on the tour. (They were kicked off after a plethora of things happened and if you know you know).

First up is Mothica! I hadn’t listened to Mothica much before the concert and I only knew of her through her cover of “Can You Feel My Heart” by Bring Me The Horizon.Mothica’s Banner(I love her banner)Mothica GuitaristMothica’s guitarist was wearing all Buc-ees merchandise and the crowd was chanting Buc-ees while he was tuning his guitar. It was a super fun moment.Mothica herself! Sadly I didn’t get the hang of taking good photos until well after her set had ended so I don’t have a great one of her. :/

The next band up was Alkaline Trio. While I had heard of Mothica, very briefly, I knew nothing about Alkaline Trio. But I still enjoyed their set!

Alkaline Trio’s banner. I really love the design!Luckily I started to take better photos during Alkaline Trio’s set, which means I was ready for the main course… Coheed and Cambria!

Now the stage is getting foggy…..And there they were! Coheed and Cambria. Claudio’s vocals were absolutely stunning. Coheed and Cambria is kind of my first concert experience and what a great one it was! I say kind of because I had gone to another concert before but I was quite young so I don’t remember any of it. Next concert I went to was……

In This Moment with supports Nothing More, Sleep Token, and Cherry Bombs!

I again, was there mostly for the supports. (Sleep Token. I fucking LOVE Sleep Token and could talk about them forever but this isn’t a post about them, this is a post about concerts in general).

Cherry Bombs is a dance troupe and I didn’t know how much I’d like them. They were actually really entertaining and all of the dancers were absolutely gorgeous. I actually got barrier at this show which means I could step up my photo taking game.I said that they were pretty didn’t I?Now for Sleep Token. Their music is absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time with a mix of RnB style vocals, amazing production, pop music influences, djenty guitars, an absolute unit of a drummer, and fabulous lyrics.

(And It’s totally not a cult)These masked British men have my whole heart.

Next up is Nothing More.

Nothing More actually means quite a lot to me. They were one of my first forays into heavier music and I’m eternally grateful for that. And the headliner! In This Moment!

Their performance was very theatrical which immediately won me over. All of the dancers in Cherry Bombs were background dancers for In This Moment which added a whole new level of complexity to the stage!Their bassist and I may have had a staring contest. This past week I got to see Lorna Shore featuring Ov Sulfur, Angelmaker, Ingested, and Aborted. After going to a few concerts I thought that I was ready for a much heavier concert but I was, in fact, not prepared for the most pits.

Luckily I was at the barrier (its a trend now!) and not in the middle of the pit. (I could have died ;-)

Ov Sulfur were up first! They actually reposted some of my photos on Instagram and it made my whole week.Angelmaker next <3Ingested <3Aborted <3 I am too tired to write whole paragraphs nowAND NOW LORNA SHORE!!!!!!!! And that’s all for now!
