Utopia's Winter-land

The bleak nonchalant sky
blanketed in bitter mottled grey,
weighted by its heavy load
purges its release, in flurries
of crystalline encrusted lace
Even at dusk, the luminescence of the forest
overwhelmed eyes with its dazzling whiteness
inhaling the finely frosted powder,
Lashing winds, whistling roar
whips up a blizzard
blinding, burning
in icy unforgiveness,
densely carpeting woodland's floor
in a satisfying squeaky crunch,
flakes Swirling in pristine splendour.
Defoliated, tangled arms of branches
reach up to heavenly white skies
laden in its produce, relentless...
Snap! Splintering, cracking
tumbling, before disappearing
into mounding snowdrifts.
Utopia's timeless realm
Narnia's arctic Winter-land
Silencing birds for the long night ahead...
