When filling out my interests for my SpaceHey account, I found it difficult to narrow down my favorite books. Instead of leaving it blank, I merely discuss my favorite authors.
But...
After much thought and consideration, I have finally decided on the books that have either inspired to keep reading as well as introduce me to new authors and genres. These novels ranging from fiction, mystery, and biographical have helped defined me and influence my thoughts and interests. Enjoy!

After careful consideration but subject to change are a few of my favorites spanning fiction, mystery, biographical.Β
β‘Β My favourite stand alone is... 'Singing from the Well' by Reinaldo Arenas.Β
A semi-autobiographical novel that was the first novel in Arenas's "secret history of Cuba" β a quintet he called the Pentagonia β detailing a powerful story of growing up in a world where nightmare has become reality, and fantasy provides the only escape.
β‘ My all time favorite trilogy is... Edgar Allan Poe's "The ParisianΒ Trilogy," which consisted of stories featuring Detective Dupin. Such as "The Murders in the Rue Morgue," "The Mystery of Marie Roget" and "The Purloined Letter"
β‘ A book I will always recommend is... "The House of the Spirits" Isabell Allende, because it introduced me to a new genre of writing β magical realism.
