Realistic vocal-synth tuning isn't ALL that

A common misconception that I think a lot of people have is that tuning a Vocaloid means making them sound real. Like, that's the definition. But that's really not the case, that tuning means making it sound realistic. Realistic tuning doesn't make or break a song, and honestly, I feel like it's just a fad more than anything. I get that it's cool, but it just shouldn't be the main focus. Think producers like sasakure.uk, who made songs such as Hello*Planet, or negaposi continues. They aren't realistic at all, and sound robotic, but it works. The song and tuning have to be good together. It can't be one or the other. I have some examples here: (remember, they are just my opinions)

Good song + bad tuning: Stay with Me - shu-t

Bad song + good tuning: Conquerer - sendra (don't come for me lol)

Good tuning doesn't necessarily mean realistic, it just means it sounds good. That's it.
