Random Updates With My Life!

Hello there! As I said before, my name is Jenny, but please call me Akai! I am here to write about how my day has been since maintenance for FF14 is going on. I'm also going to share some ideas I have for the future as well!

So I ended up getting a new job! Instead of being a video game store rep, I am now an electronics assembler, which is actually a lot of fun! I get to sit down and work on some motherboards all day while listening to one of my favorite podcasts, Dungeons and Daddies! I got to meet the people working the line as well and I got to talking to my supervisor, who is a cool guy! I was happy to be with people who I know will keep me in good hands.

However, the videogame store in question, I am glad I left. Not that my coworkers were bad. Even my manager was wonderful! But the owner of the store is a total capitalist pig. He posted a message on the Discord, saying that anyone who left less than a two week notice would not get any PTO hours. I wouldn't have cared much if he just didn't do it, but just saying it for even me to see in the Discord, despite me not working there anymore, that had scratched my heart a bit. I might even uncover some dirt about him in there to show how mean he has been to us employees, maybe even try to get a union in there. Whoever still works there deserves so much more than what he can ever offer us!

On a lighter note, I am also currently working on a FF14-esque D&D 5e campaign! I am pretty excited to be a DM, although it will be my first time. It's a bit of a dark story and I won't reveal too much here, but if you are curious about it, just leave me a message or a comment here and I will get right back to you! I've been trying to find a place that's open somewhat late, so hopefully I can find something like that!

I'm also working on exporting a FF14 model and using it for 3D animation. I'm using Blender and Textools to get what I want, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to where I need to get to. I am trying to find the time to take on this project while I also work around my new schedule. I do work five days now, which isn't a bad thing at all! As long as I have decent hours and I'm sitting all day, all is well!

Why am I getting these models? Well, I want to make a bit of a remake of the Kamen Rider Geats opening. I just love the song and setting that I wanted to do one kinda based in the FF14 world! I need to make a few characters based on an AU I'm doing and there I should be all set! Once I learn how to do everything of course! But the model making at least will be easy! Wish me luck!
