badflower concert

one of the best concerts i’ve been to so far. i skipped school yesterday for it, which was kinda worth it. we got there at 8 am and waited in a smoothie king until 12. then we went to go get lunch. and as soon as we finished eating the tour bus pulls up. so we both rush outside and stand with this other group. then like 20 min later josh goes in the venue. then 10 min later alex walks in. then later anthony. everyone expect josh would walk back and forth to the bus. at around 2:30 joey walks out of the bus and we give him the drawing. at 4:30 some fan waiting in line was passing out rubber bracelets. they say family on them. and others had other songs. we finally got into the venue at 7. and we bought merch as soon as we got in. since the tour shirts were only in xl and 2xl i couldn’t get them, i had to get the last option which was them on the front of a white shirt. but a friend of the friends that we made gave us a signed poster and a beanie since they were following the tour. i got the beanie and my friend got the poster. i wish i got the poster bc my friend actually uses beanies and i don’t, but hey it’s fine. at 8 dead poet society opened and played for an hour. then at 9 teenage wrist went in to play. both bands played for 40 min. then at 10 badflower finally went on and opened with don’t hate me. josh made had kept saying to just lie to ourselves about the temperature, pretend it’s cold. later took someone’s hat, which was a sparkly fedora, and gave the matching one to joey. for stalker josh went up to the balcony and sat on the outside ledge to sing part of it. then completely goes against what he said earlier and says don’t lie to yourself about the temperature and gets jealous of alex and joey having a fan. then the bass player of the dead poet society crowd surfs and my friend was almost crushed. later josh crowd surfs. he was really slippery, but didn’t drop him. the show ended at 11:30. had so much fun for my first time in the pit :)
