I lost everything

In January I moved away from Havana, Illinois to Champaign, Illinois so I put basically everything in my storage unit. Today, I bought a new lock because I was going to replace the one currently on the unit because I lost my key. I pulled up to the unit aaaannnddd....

Somebody broke in, robbed, and trashed my storage unit.

This is how I found it. Since they left the door open, weather got in it and so whatever they didn't take got rained on and now it's moldy. There's also a beer can near the car seat base there, I don't like the taste of beer.

They stole everything of value. They got my records & record player, clothing, my wife's jewelry, my sons toddler bed and toy box, toys, just everything. I'm meeting up with an officer in the morning to discuss everything that's been taken, but I learned that I'm not the only one it's happened to here and since Havana Self Storage owns all the units in town and has done nothing I'm cancelling my shit with them. I'm also going to insure all my items in my Urbana, Il storage unit.
