I'm still wondering if I should or not. I never had any interest in it even way back when in 2012 or whatever year I first heard of it. But fast forward to the last few years I learn it's extremely toxic and how the staff there are very biased with who speaks there and who gets banned and all that. Just like with Reddit I refused to support a site in any shape and form if it gives a pass to one side but shames the other.<br>
I don't view Elon as a hero like some people, but from what I have seen he seems to care about giving everyone a voice and understands how the internet should work. Maybe I might be biased myself cause he's also autistic and I guess cause of that, I understand why he's doing what he does with Twitter. Also him carrying a sink in was the most autist thing I ever seen I loved it.<br>
Also I guess I might need to use at least one big tech site, or two I guess since I use Youtube, since lately I've been wondering if I need a way to get in touch with people I used to know in person. It's been many years since I've even seen someone I knew from school. Also would be nice to see updates and stuff from games as I don't have a way to hear news either, usually someone else tells me whatever.

take it from someone who's been on twitter since 2013: don't do it. elon has made the hellscape even worse, he talks about how much he loves free speech while banning journalists and firing people who don't laugh at his terrible jokes. every change to the platform itself has been disastrous and had to either be taken back from the sheer backlash or were reimplemented later after many changes from elons first draft so they could actually be usable. he took a company that was struggling and launched it straight towards bankruptcy trust me he's done literally nothing right lmao.

I do keep leaning towards "I should wait and see how it plays out" So I might as well do that

the idea is thst with elon in charge people getting banned will shift from people who dissagree with staff politically to actuall bad actors
