10. eastern youth - Kanjusei ootoo seyo
Starting off is Eastern Youth's 2001 album Kanjusei ootoo seyo, it's emotional melody and anxious passion in vocals, with the bluesy sounding guitar riff makes it somewhat of a fusion of blues emo which I find COOL!!
9. Midori - Second
This album is off the walls and chaotic. It's fusion of jazzy instrumentation with the radical nature of punk makes this absolutely insane listen. Truly an album that is respected to time!
8. Quruli - Zukan
Another emotional sounding album, albeit it leans towards more of a playful side than most emo albums at the time. Nevertheless it's playfulness brings this album more of an enjoyment as it's just fun times all around. AMAZING!!

If you like something noisy in shoegaze like the classics My Bloody Valentine or Siamese Dream from Smashing Pumpkins, this album relinquishes it and bursts out amaziung energy of an album, amazing and amzing

This album was recommended by a friend, and it's probably one of the chill upbeat J-Rock albums Ive heard so far. Check it out if you have the time

This is a short album (becuz its an EP) but this has to be the beginning shape of future j-rock to come. Full of energy and noise it really feels like getting punched in the face (albeit lightly for now). AMAZING!!

Japanese emo peaked with LTS's major debut album. Their technical sound and passionate vocals is absolutely empowering in this album. Absolute a must-check.

This is kind of cheating but I cant help but this in the 2000s, this is more upbeat than ASIAN kung fu generation and made for the greatest animes of all times, and the songs are just too good themselves, while some taken from their 90s output, idc this deserves a deservingly high spot

(This is probably the most nosiest, intimidating, sentimental, angry, passionate, anxious, melodic, emotional album in general that I've listened too, the most impactful album personally and it's definitely worth at least a check out of the first 3 tracks at least. Unironically peak J-Rock since.)
