Do you think Laika forgave the scientists

that never planned for her return in the first place?

Do you think she thought of them

when she looked down at earth

for the last time?

She was a Stray dog

She never knew love.

Do you think she knows how loved she is now?

Do you think she knows how missed she is

in the present day?

She was a good girl.

She probably did forgive them.

But I never will.

I hope she became a star,

so she can burn just as bright

as she never got to while she was alive.
