Screamo and the taste

I don't know why but I find the screamo style extremely expressive and enjoyable genre/style of music to listen to/appreciate. I have been listening to screamo since I was in high school and nothing has changed since then. I am still the person who still finds joy in the shrills of Hawthorne Heights, Emery, Black Veil Brides...etc. Lyrically they are not the most complex bands but still from a vocal standpoint one cannot deny their competency. 

The other thing I appreciate regarding screamo is that how easy it can fuse with other genres of music. For instance, the fusion of rap and screamo creates competent results, which for me further proves that screamo can stand alone as a style. 

Screamo is getting more acceptance these days yet it is not the mainstream. The inner hipster of mine does not want it to happen to be honest.
