What If Comics Timelines Made Sense (Part 1) - Batmand and Robin(s)

So something I like to do is take DC and Marvel's catalogue and try to make it all fit into a realistic time scale (think something like Superman & Batman: Generations by John Byrne and Spider-Man: Life Story by Chip Zdarsky, but not as well written or thought out). Not necessarily the entire universes (at least all the time), but focusing on the groups within the comics like the Superfam, Batfam, Spider-Fam, etc.

So I'm gonna talk about how I'd do the Batfam, focusing on the Robins (at least the four boys, I'm still not sure how what I'd do with Steph!Robin).

JSYK, I don't have any hard details on ages or exact time frames, just a general idea of when shit would happen.

By the time Dick comes into the picture, Bruce would be mid to late 20s, having been Batmanning for maybe 3~ years. I like this because he'd still be a Gotham cryptid, and the idea of a brightly colored child being the first sign of the Bat is hilarious to me, and I need to imagine thugs trying to explain how they got their asses kicked by a kid and that cryptid no one is 100% sure is actually real. Dick is with Bruce for a few years before starting the Teen Titans, not long after realizing that he and Bruce don't really work as well together as they used to. At around 18/19, Dick leaves Batman, becoming Nightwing and moving to Blüdhaven.

Not long after, Bruce finds Jason, yaddi yaddi yadda, Death in the Family, and Tim comes into the picture same as in the comics, becomes Robin.

This is around the point where I need to start shuffling big events around to make them fit.

First we have Hush (with most of the crap cut out), along with the retcon that while Hush wasn't Jason, he was the one who set it all up. Then comes Under the Red Hood, almost beat for beat as in the comics. By this point, Bruce has been Batman for at least 8-10 years and, especially with all the recent events, is seriously being worn down. Batman and Son comes next, introducing Damian. Next comes Knightfall, but instead of Bruce choosing Azrael to be the next Batman, Azrael just kinda decides to do it. This leads directly into Battle for the Cowl, with Dick, Jason, Tim, Azrael (AND MAYBE MORE??) fighting to either be Batman or to stop someone else from being Batman. It ends similarly as with the comic, with Dick becoming Batman and Damian taking Tim's place as Robin, at the request of Dick. The main difference is that at some point Bruce is kidnapped by Talia and Ra's in an attempt to heal him themselves, while faking his death to make sure no one would try to stop them. Tim, however, is THE MOTHERFUCKING DETECTIVE, and doesn't fall for this shit. Similarly to his initial Red Robin run, he goes on a quest to find Bruce, even though everyone else thinks he's dead.

From here on, it would continue to diverge a lot more from how the main continuities have gone. Mainly, Bruce never becomes Batman again. He is able to recover from his injuries, but all of them having piled up, he can no longer perform at the physical level being Batman requires. He doesn't retire entirely, however, as he is still one of the best detectives on the planet.

Obviously there's so much to fill in (the rest of the Batfam, a bunch of other iconic Gotham stories), but that's kind of the general idea I have for how I'd fit the Robins into this.
