A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS, A HANDFUL OF LEAVES

There are a myriad of wonderful varieties of lettuce available ... in this particular year, I'm going to try try as an example jade plant identification . Do you have any other lettuce varieties you would suggest?

Over the past five years, on a morning in mid July , I can be found in my garden with using secateurs to cut flowers and foliage while away at home.

The day that ends the school year, I ask me with preparing two homemade bouquets for each of the teachers in my children's class. They are tied tightly with twine before being put in the jam jar, to be carried in a shaky manner along the way to school, and then handed over in a happy smile with hoping that they're not dissatisfied that it's not wine.I could purchase flowers for them, however I prefer the idea of gifting them something that is personal to them. To me, this is the essence of what a garden is about - creating an individual treasure house - for flowers, for plants as well as herbal teas, for fruits and vegetables, as well as for salads. The most important thing is quality, not quantity. Sometimes, I receive both, if I'm fortunate enough (like that annual super-glut of Victoria plums) however, it's not a problem.

The flower bouquets even though they're not artful is a distillation of what's in my garden at the moment. After picking them then I'll need to wait until I've got enough flowers enough to make a nice vase my home. There's plenty of things that look shabby The lawn is a dirty messy mess, there's black spots on the leaves of my roses, my patio has been in need of cleaning for the past six months and the pears appear like they've got a bitter pits, but I have a handful of parsley whenever I need some, and have enough Mexican trees (about the same amount, but more about it in a future post) and ...), great King Henry and kale ) to keep me on an everyday diet of sauteed vegetables, I am content.
