A rando teen's guide to 90s/2nd wave emo fashion

Keep in mind, i wasn't alive at this time so I might get junk wrong.

We shall start with the head:

A classic part of 90s emo is the horn rimmed glasses, though any pair of thick framed glasses will do. When it comes to other accessories girls often wore simple headbands. For the hair men usually had spock-ish, bowl cut resembling mops, and women had mid length hair often with their bangs pushed to the side. When it comes to neck stuff if you want you can put on a simple choker or scarf.

 For the torso:

A staple of this wave's fashion is snuggly stuff. Whether that be cardigans, sweaters, or sweater vests it always had to be tight and commonly had a vintage tee underneath. Think those old pepsi cola shirts. Some also wore polos, flannels, or soccer jerseys even if they didn't play. Arm accessories were usually simple bracelets or watches.

 When it comes to legs:

Girl jeans were used the most. Though in some things you can see what almost resembles velvet though I can't confirm exactly what they are. The ends of the jeans were also commonly cuffed. Waist accessories were commonly some type of belt, preferably studded or white, and keys hanging from a carabiner clasped on a belt loop.

 And finally the shoes:

Chunky shoes, or sneakers like converse and vans were used the most. When it comes to socks, funky patterned ones are the way to go.

And there, you now know what to wear if you wanna be an xtreme 2nd waver.

If I forgot anything plz add a reply below pointing it out.
