Forgiving your nature in order to pursue a more thoroughly fortified course proves fulfilling not only in argument but in practice. Truthfully, it is much easier to accept the comfort of solitude lying strewn as clothes across the floor. It is much easier to accept the stability of relying on one's own two feet. It is much easier to find refuge in my reflection as her warm, steely gaze offers me an island in eternity. It is much easier. It is much easier than announcing to my heart that the home he's known must now be abandoned. And yet not for malice, nor for spite of the structure that surrounds, we split as tides do from the shore and surface far from what we have known. Though the tides may thrash, and the current may rip my soul from the safety of the deep into the raging waters; there is a time when the waves will calm.
Though pain and happiness are both fleeting, the bitter sting left behind proves we survived
