Paganism Cultural Appropriation

Im really inspired to keep pursuing paganism and my love for the practice grows more and more everyday. i would like to identify with the wiccan religion so i can really focus my craft onto something specific instead of just general Celtic paganism but im struggling to accept wicca with the constant accusations of cultural appropriation even if its hat aligns the most with my moral beliefs and what i would want out of a religion. Like yes it is a relatively new form of paganism and many aspects are contrived from other religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism and many more but is that necessarily a bad thing to take methods of meditation from one religion and use them in another even if its respectfully practiced? idk this is just a word vomit and me tryna figure myself out and trying to respect POC voices in the witchcraft space.

Culture isn't something that can be considered personal property, it's in the public domain so there's no such thing as cultural appropriation.

do you have any examples of what people are calling cultural appropriation? also iā€™m not the voice of all dharmic faiths but i truly believe if you are respecting your practice and you recognise the roots of where such beliefs come from, then you are completely fine. as a hindu i believe labelling things as good or bad is an ego concept and the world is about looking at perspective rather than making things black and white - and concerning ourselves over trivial issues as such as this is a waste of energy, simply continue with your practices in a respectful way. just acknowledge the root of your practices and i wish a happy spiritual journey full of reward and comfort šŸ’•
