the striped pyjama squid is actually one of the only poisonous squid and cephalopod species. they're tiny though, only measuring up to a maximum of 2 inches. they usually spend their days sitting at the sea floor covered in sand and waiting for a meal to swim on by. when the pyjama squid feels threatened, it secretes venemous slime to scare off the predator.
