Abel Joseph Cusac - Abel is a slight, lean 26 y/o man. He stands at 5’8. He has dark ginger hair that is often unkept and full of cowlicks. His eyes are green and set pretty low into his head, making for dark circles. His eyebrows are plucked thin and he has a sharp, upturned nose. Freckles are scattered all across his body, though they are most clustered on his face, hands and shoulders. He is white.
He has a labret piercing, tongue piercing, 00g gauges in both ears, plus an additional two on each lobe. On his left ear, he has an industrial piercing. On his left upper arm, above his elbow, is a tattoo of the sun. On his left forearm, just above the wrist, are two solid band tattoos. He has another tattoo on his right wrist, which matches his husbands. It's a singular loop broken up by the initials "AQ'' on the inner side, against the vein. He also has a heart tattooed on each hip bone.

Abel currently lives just outside of Helena, Montana. He moved there when he was 17 years old, after committing patricide and running away from his birthplace, New Orleans, Louisiana. He had lived there since birth with his father, Adam Cusac and, until he was around eight years old, his mother, Eveline Cusac. He was born alongside a stillborn sister. His birthday is October 28th.
Abel is stubborn, aggressive, short-tempered and violent. He will pick a fight with anyone over anything and relishes in being as mean as possible. This does not allow him to make friends easily, not that he would really want to, but if someone were to get close enough to him they would find that despite all of the negativity he puts forth, Abel can be extremely doting and giving, should he be in the mood. For example, with his husband, Alec, Abel is (mostly) extremely loving and gentle towards him. On the other hand, with their mutual “friend”, Isaiah, Abel is still stubborn and aggressive, though it’s toned down incredibly, being passed off as teasing, though he always means what he says when insulting Isaiah.
He is also, coincidentally, a serial killer. Probably should have mentioned that a little sooner, but whatever. He targets older men (43-76, typically) though he has been prompted to stray lower in age. Often, to throw detectives off of his case, he will switch up his targets. He will also just straight up go after anyone who he thinks may have seen anything or that just struck him in a strange way. His methods of killing are extremely brutal and include hours of torture before he finally kills his victim by repeatedly beating their heads in. He always dismembers and scatters the bodies, and takes hair as a trophy.
To make money and keep the house he shares with Alec, Abel paints surrealist portraits that he sells on ebay and other websites. He also creates custom commissions. He is an incredibly talented artist and when he’s not found smoking or going after a victim, he can be found sketching, drawing, painting and sometimes sculpting. He has converted the kitchen in his home to be partially an art studio, and as such, he’s completely destroyed the interior of it with paint.

Alexandro “Alec” Quiroz - Alec is a tall, muscular 32 y/o man. He stands at roughly 6’4. He has dark brown hair that he keeps cropped above his ears and neat. Alec has a long face with a sharp, squared jaw. His eyes are wide, almost child-looking, and he has heterochromia. His right eye is dark blue while his left is a light hazel-green. He has thick eyebrows and a long nose. His two front teeth have a sizable gap between them from falling out of a tree when he was a child and knocking out his baby teeth, along with causing one of his adult teeth to come in at an angle. He is mixed mexican and black.
He has three piercings on each ear, totaling six. He has a tattoo of the Virgin Mary on his left hand and a half sleeve of different flowers (peonies, waterlilies, snapdragons and baby’s breath) on his left forearm. He has another tattoo on his right wrist, which matches his husbands. It's a singular loop broken up by the initials "AC'' on the inner side, against the vein. In total, Alec has three full tattoos.
Alec currently lives in Helena, Montana. He moved there at the age of 25, when he decided to up and leave his hometown of Bisbee, Arizona. He lived place to place before meeting Isaiah and, thanks to the education he got in Arizona, becoming a police officer alongside him. He grew up with an older sister, Mariella Anne Quiroz, mother, Danielle Quiroz and late father, Abram Quiroz. He was born on January 19th.
Alec is caring, gentle, empathetic and rather anxious. Think the opposite of his husband, Abel, and you’ve pretty much got it. He prefers to stay away from confrontation (bad for a cop) and would rather let someone off with a slight warning than cause any sort of inconvenience for them (even worse for a cop.) Despite this, though, he is extremely good at his job, and most people in their town know who he is/know of him and deeply respect him. Given the right circumstance, though, Alec can be incredibly impulsive and quick to react. This usually happens when he’s caught off-guard by something. He is very, very easy to make friends with and will be extremely welcoming to anyone. However, when Alec is with Abel, he becomes more closed off and reserved, preferring to stay near to his husband. He becomes quiet and judgemental, as though fueled by the same sort of hate that fuels Abel.
Speaking of Abel! Alec originally does not know about Abel’s distasteful hobby (you know… murder,) but when he finds out, he makes the decision to start shopping around for new jobs. Of course, he often helps Abel dismember and dispose of bodies and, being a gardener by trade, he must admit it’s a bit easier to grow things when the ground is teeming with life. Initially, he does not help out in the murders until an incident occurs in which he is forced to. After this happens, Alec takes a leave of absence from work, then later quits, opting instead to open up his own florist shop.
Flowers and plants have always been Alec’s thing. True to his nature, he loves tending to them and arranging flowers in beautiful, meaningful arrangements. He puts all his creative effort and most of his love into his plants, and the shop he opens does extremely well. This becomes his main drive (aside from his husband) and is his favorite place to spend time. The shop’s name is “Desert Flower”
Alec is a capricorn, isfj, phlegmatic-melacholic, and enneagram type 6.
