Music Survey

(This was originally posted as a bulletin, but I'm gonna put it on here too)

I'm gonna try and answer these questions. The ones I don't have an answer for I'll just leave blank. 

1. what's your favorite band or artist ?: My Chemical Romance. 

2. what's your favourite album by your favorite artist ?: The Black Parade. 

3. is that your favorite album of all time?? Second favorite. AFYCSO by panic! is my favorite album of all time. 

4. what's your favorite song by your favorite artist ?: Mama. I also really like Drowning Lessons, The Sharpest Lives and You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison. 

5. is that your favorite song of all time?? if not, which one is ?: No. I don't really have a favorite song of all time. 

 

6. what's your favorite genre ?: Rock or some pop music. 

7. do you prefer listening to albums or playlists ?: Playlists.

8. do you use spotify, yt music, itunes or something else ?: Spotify. I use CDs and vinyls too. 

9. name an underrated band and an overrated band!!:

12. what's your most guilty pleasure song ?: Scotty Doesn't Know by Lustra. (Its so bad in the best way possible) 

13. do you play/want to play any instruments ?: I can play the bass guitar somewhat well. 

14. if you were in a band, what would you name it ?: I'm terrible with band names so idk. I'd choose a long name though. 

15. what's your favorite band name ? (not your favorite band's name, your favorite name a band has): Motionless In White or Panic! At The Disco. 

16. what band/artist have you been listening to the longest ?: My mum used to listen to MCR around 2007-ish, so I heard some of their songs then. Also Britney Spears because my mum liked her music too. 

17. what's the newest band/artist you started listening to ?: Can't remember. 

18. what's the reason you usually start listening to a new band/artist ? (e.g friends suggest them, a song of theirs trends, etc): It's usually through a YouTube video. 

19. be honest, have you ever started listening to a band because a member of it was hot ?: No. Although I have a confession to make... I have a hugeee crush on Ryan Ross. 

20. what's a band/artist you didn't like at first but you like now ?: 

21. what's a band/artist you used to like but don't anymore ?: Nirvana. I still appreciate their music but definitely don't listen to them as much tbh. 

22. what band/artist do you think has the coolest aesthetic/style ?: pre-split panic! (especially during the nothing rhymes with circus era) and MCR. 

23. how many concerts have you gone to ?: None. I really want to go to one though :(

24. what's your favorite concert you've gone to ?: I haven't gone to any. 

25. if you could go to a concert of any band/artist ever, which would you choose ?: An old panic! concert (although that's impossible) and definitely an MCR concert. 

26. do you care more about lyrics or sound ?: Both. Although I think lyrics are a little more important. 

27. would you listen to a band with a bad singer if every other member was amazing?: Yeah 

28. favorite game soundtrack ?: the sims 2 or minecraft (both are nostalgic for me)

29. favorite movie soundtrack ?: Idk... shrek?..  

30. are you active in the fanbase for any bands/artists ?: Yes. Most of the bands I like actually. 

31. do you ever zone out and imagine epic amvs/edits to a song ur listening to ?: Sometimes. 

32. have you ever talked about a band/artist so much all your friends started associating anything to do with that band or artist with you ?: YES definitely.

35. do you have any songs so strongly associated with something/someone that you cant think of anything else when you listen to it ?: Yeah 

36. how many band tees do you own ?(bonus for you emos: how many of them are black ?): Around 5. All of them are black. 

37: do you collect vinyls or cds ?: Both. I have around 30 CDs tho. 

38. do you own any band merch apart from tees, vinyls or cds ?: I have some coffee mugs and an MCR backpack

39. what's a band/artist that you like that you've never met anyone else who's a fan of it ?: 

40. what are you listening to right now ?: Mary on a cross by Ghost. 

41. whos ur musician celebrity crush ?: Ryan Ross

42. do you watch recordings of live performances ?: Yeah defo. I love live shows. 

43. have you ever purposefully tried to look like a musician you liked ? (eg dyeing ur hair like theirs, copying their style, etv): I once tried to make myself look like Frank Iero. 

44. have you ever been compared to any musicians ? if you have, do you see it or not ?: I haven't been compared to anyone. 

45. have you ever had a music related username on any site ?: I have a pre-split panic! fan account on instagram called Gunslinger Extraordinaire (which is a lyric). so yeah.  

46. favorite lyrics of all time ?: Oh god, difficult question. I love the line "You were my Versailles at night" from FOB's song Fourth of July. 

47. favorite album cover ?: I like the cover for A Fever You Can't Sweat Out by panic! 

48. have you ever listened to an album just because the title or album cover looked cool ?: Nah.

49. favorite song title ? (not title of your favorite song, favorite title a song has): "I Slept With Someone In Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me" by Fall Out Boy.
