There’s a fast way to level up in DBD for new players, it’s called the 2-2-2 method. Basically each game you want to try and aim for getting 2 gens done, save 2 hooked teammates, and get into chase 2 times. It’ll help you level up real fast.

Some tips for each one;

Generators:
- While doing a generator, ALWAYS keep your eyes on your surroundings if not doing a skill check. A killer can easily sneak up behind you if you’re not looking. Keep your FOV (field of view) moving.
- One thing that’ll help too is not doing the first generator you see, try to aim for generators in the middle as it’ll lower your chances of 3 genning the team. (3 genning being when the last generator, you have 3 you can chose to finish from but they’re all on the same side so it’s easier for the killer to patrol them).

Hook saves:
- DO NOT GO FOR SAVE WHILE IN CHASE!! The killer can pull you off really fast or down you and you’ll just be swapping hooks. Try to go for the save when the terror radius is gone or the killer walked away.
- Don’t bum rush the hooks while the killer is still around or they can down you and your teammates.
- DO NOT SAVE HOOKED SURVIVORS WHILE THE KILLER IS PROXI CAMPING OR FACE CAMPING. I know many people want to be a good teammate and save them but it’s not worth it! Use the time the killer is busy to do a generator!

Chases:
- Always keep your eyes on the killer. This comes naturally as you learn the maps and where those good loops are. A good looping point is where you can see where the killer is going and counter that by switching directions or faking windows and palettes.
- When in case, you can’t run in straight lines and always have to stay as close to obstacles while running so it’s harder for the killer to close distance on you
- Do not throw down palettes unless necessary. A lot of vet players get annoyed when new players throw down palettes just for distance but don’t feel bad if you throw one down bc the killer was closing in distance and you needed to keep them busy for a second.
- If you get hit at a palette but you’re not injured at all until the hit, use your speed boost instead of the palette! You can save it for somebody else to use.
- You can also try to fake palette throws by running to palettes and turning to face them completely while still running very quickly, the killer will think you’re going to throw them down and will wind up to hit you, this slows them down and gives you more distance.
- Window vaults are good, just remember to always keep your eyes on the killer, they will try to mind game you to get you to go back through the window where they are and will hit you.
- One good place that people can learn how to loop a killer and keep them busy while your team does gens is killer shack. That small building in some maps that has a basement sometimes, one window, and one pallet.

I hope these help!
