okay so. i really really really want a septum piercing right??? my mom says no, i think it would be really cool though. ik it doesn't really hurt and it just makes your eyes water a little, but is there anything else important to know??? and does anyone have any tips on convincing my mom to let me get one?????

Get a fake septum and wear it around. If your mom says anything about it, you can take it off and say it's fake. Gradually continue to use it more often around her, to the point when she doesn't comment about it anymore. Then, try not to take it off around her for some time, until she's completely used to it, that's when you should get an actual piercing.
It's a piercing after all, there's nothing bad about it, it's not something irreversible or incredible difficult to reverse like a tattoo, so even if she's mad at first, she'll eventually grow used to it.
If you don't wanna wait long, just do it without asking, septum piercings are easy to hide inside your nose afterall. Do make sure to not take it off for at least a month so it doesn't close. After the first month, take it off _at least_ once a week to clean it. During the first month it's very important to clean it after waking up and before going to sleep.
