I've been watching a lot of horror movies. Almost every day I watch them, most of the time I have to rent on youtube bc there aren't a lot of decent movies on any of the streaming services I use (netflix, hulu, amazon prime). Just this month I've watched The Hills Have Eyes, House of a Thousand Corpses, Mother!, American Psycho, The Wretched, The Blair Witch Project, Blair Witch, Carrie (1976), Halloween (1978), In The Tall Grass, Seven, Lights Out, Oculus, Parasite, The Other Lamb, plus some I started but didn't finish because it was either boring, or I was half asleep and I never finished them. I would love recommendations! I love paranormal, haunted house, fantasy, mystery, true crime, psychological thrillers, thrillers. I don't really like gore, excessive violence, or slashers, but I liked all of the movies listed so if u know anything similar lmk!! I especially loved Mother!, Carrie, The Other Lamb, Seven, and American Psycho.

Wow that's a ton of movies, a lot of good ones in there. Based on what you enjoyed here's a few that I recommend:

Lake Mungo (2008) - Slow paced documentary-style movie about the mysterious circumstances surrounding a girl's death, and the paranormal experiences that the family start to have.

May (2002) - A socially awkward girl has trouble connecting with others, and things start to become unpredictable after her trust is abused.

Sole Survivor (1984) - A Final Destination type movie where a woman narrowly avoids death after not boarding a plane that later crashes. Death seems to chase her wherever she goes afterwards.

The Hole (2001) - An incident occurs where a group of youths are left stranded underground in an abandoned bunker, and different accounts of what occurred start to arise.

Hard Candy (2005) - A photographer is taken hostage in his own home by an underage girl who accuses him of being a pedophile.

All of these don't have much gore in them and have thriller elements. Hopefully there's something in there that interests you!
