I wish I could make my pain pretty

maybe put it to a melody

or a watercolor painting

so people would notice

I wish I could make my pain pretty

I could cry glitter and bleed sticky sweet syrup

instead of falling on the ground in pain,

I could pirouette to outer space

so that people would notice

I wish I could make my pain pretty

make some jokes and sound witty

metaphors or similes or poetry

maybe I could paint the sky with the blue of my tears and sell them on the streets

just so that
