the 11th musical

yesterday i went to the theatre to see the recording of Phantom: The Musical starring cho kyu hyun... i love everything kyuhyun does... i think the big screen really suits him, i think he has potential to be a bigger star than he already is. being a fan of him feels like such a flex...

i was waiting to see this recording in the cinema for a long time, for months, i wanted to see it with my friend suujin, but suujin lives too far away </3 i hope these showings are successful enough that kyuhyuns musical companies want to release more recordings to the west... it was a magical experience... much better than watching the leaked version drunk in your bedroom alone... especially considering i met a fellow fan there! she's a more causual fan, but i hope she really felt just as proud as me... 

GOD it is so so nice to have such a grand reminder how amazing your favourite guy is.. he really embodies each of his characters well, can't help but stare at him whenever he's doing musical, even if his character is on the odd corner somewhere. and he's the one of the best singer around... i've seen non fans compare him to michael crawford after seeing that and that's fucking crazy!!!!!!!! that should draw more attention! and and and, phantom isn't even his most sangin role!!!!!!!!!! the recordings of that musical get leaked one by one (copyright, oooh) and every leak gives me chills. i swear i've never heard him hit a note like this one 안돼 before.. and i'm an expert on his vocals (according to friends, it's impressive how i recall certain notes he's hit in which songs)...

all this said, i think the musical i liked more with him is Werther... where he plays another strange guy.. werther is about some guy who falls in love with a woman who is engaged (if i remember correctly), stalks her, harass her and then kill himself within a week?... i had a dream that they started showing that in the theatrs and i bought tickets the second they came out... butbutbut Then! i can't wait until the evil compnay that put him in the Frankenstein show let's us actually see clips... Korean fans who watched it live said it's probably his best, most queer-coded, most sexy role... HE HATES BEING SEXY FOR FANS, mustve fit the character well, because he said he hates that character the most!!!!!! and it had him with another male vocalist i enjoy moaning with chains around their hands... (unnecessary, improvised moans and unnecessary amount of detail on his costume that he did hmself... hehe. degeneracy..)
