WALKMAN!!

Okay so it's not actually a walkman but it's a portable Panasonic tape player. 

I do have an actual walkman tho. 

But this panasonic tape player was lying on my desk in pieces because i was trying to replace the belt, which was a very tedious process just trying to get it open. Usually with the Sony ones that i've seen in repair videos, the circuit board kind of lifts up and you can access everything underneath real easy but in this panasonic one the circuit board was attached directly above the flywheel so i couldn't get at the belt easily. 

I had the thing on my desk in pieces for aaaaaages (in an airtight bag) and then I found the right belt for it. after searching so hard on ebay I finally did it! and I ordered it and it arrived and I replaced it! actually fiddling with the belt and just trying to get it where it needed to be took nearly two hours and my hands were shaking so badly. 

BUT! without any prior knowledge on the topic and just watching a handful of techmoan videos where he repaired completely different tape decks I managed to repair it and now I have two tape players that work, along with my stereo tape player of course.
