Aliens near Zion?

I was camping out in Utah, near Zion national park with my family and some friends. It wasn’t too late in the night, we saw what looked like laser beams, sorta, big bright and white. Obviously shining from somewhere, they were lighting up a hill couple miles away, just moving around from side to side. But the thing was, we’re in the middle of know where there is not a single residence in about twenty miles, the nearest tent other than our own, is about three miles away. It was a completely clear night with nothing man made up in the sky, still no idea what it was. Maybe it was government? But even then there was no starting point for the lasers to come from.
